Situated on a headland above two of the most exquisite EU blue flag beaches in Ireland, just 30 miles via causway from Cork and approximately two and a half hours from Shannon, this 67-room property, a member of the distinguished Concorde Hotels Group, offers guests a warm and welcoming environment for their stay on the coast of Ireland. Decorated in soothing earth tones with natural materials and bright, open apaces, the architects and designers of this contemporary coastal resort were sympathetic to the property's location, incorporating the seascape into their design concept. On the premises are two restaurants, the Gulfstream, which offers panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean and Irish Coast and serves Mediterranean cuisine and fresh coastal seafood, and the Contented Plaice. In addition, a nautical-themed pub serves hot and cold food. One of the the hotel's signature features is its thalassotherapy (hot sea water therapy) center with an extensive menu of highly sophisticated treatments. Just a 26 kilometer ride up the scenic Irish coast, guests can play a game of golf at the Old Head of Kinsale Links, described as the Pebble Beach of Europe. Golf can also be played at Bandon, Dunmore, a 9-hole course opposite the Lodge & Spa, and the 6-hole Lisselan Course. Nearby the Lodge, guests can also horseback ride, deep sea fish, dive, and bike ride. A buffet breakfast is included in the price of the room.
